The trip

Southern Patagonia offers some of the most dramatic landscapes and diverse fisheries on the planet. Through FjordAnglers, you gain access to an officially certified Orvis-Endorsed Outfitter based in Puerto Natales. This guarantees the highest standards of professional guiding, service, and environmental conservation.

What sets this experience apart is the exclusive access. The operation complies with strict SERNATUR and CONAF requirements, holding official permits to fish inside the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park—waters that most operators cannot legally access. Additionally, you will have exclusive access to private spring creeks and estancias (ranches) spread across the Patagonian steppe.

Whether you are targeting sea-run brown trout on a private ranch, swinging heavy flies for Chinook salmon on a glacial river, or casting dry flies on an intimate spring creek, every trip is completely tailored to your expectations by expert bilingual guides.

Waters

Río Penitente

Río Penitente

A medium-sized river flowing through the open Patagonian steppe. Known for its strong resident brown trout population and migratory sea-run brown trout entering from the Atlantic. Versatile water perfect for dry flies, nymphs, streamers, and micro-Spey.

Río Serrano (Torres del Paine)

Río Serrano (Torres del Paine)

A powerful, iconic big-water fishery flowing toward the fjords. The main attraction here is the Chinook (King) salmon during the summer months (Dec–Feb). Ideally suited for two-hand (full Spey) fly fishing. (Spinning gear is available for non-fly anglers).

Spring Creeks

Spring Creeks

Intimate, technical waters located across the region and on private ranches. Home to brown and brook trout, rewarding anglers who enjoy precision, careful presentation, and sight-fishing.

Patagonian Lakes (Maravilla, Porteño, El Toro & Sofía)

Patagonian Lakes (Maravilla, Porteño, El Toro & Sofía)

Target trout from a boat in wide, open landscapes surrounded by mountains. Lago Sofía stands out for its unique population of landlocked Coho salmon.
